We are a Wood County-based wildlife removal company. Parkersburg is home. We know these neighborhoods, we know the housing stock, and we know the wildlife pressure that comes with living along the Ohio River in an older mid-Atlantic city.
Bat removal is our primary business. It makes sense given the geography. Parkersburg's older homes, the Victorian houses on the South Side, the early 20th century bungalows on the North End, the brick two-stories above the river bottoms, all of them were built with construction methods that leave gaps that bats find useful. Big Brown Bats and Little Brown Bats are endemic to this part of West Virginia and the Ohio River corridor is excellent habitat. We follow WV DNR Wildlife Resources Section regulations on every job. Bats are state-protected in West Virginia. Exclusion only, no extermination. We know the bat maternity season restrictions, June 1 through August 15, and we plan work accordingly. Inspections happen any time. Exclusion and sealing start August 15. We do not cut corners on regulations because the regulations exist for good reasons.
